How To Easily Solve Data Corruption On IDM (Internet Download Manager)

In this article, I want to show you how to solve data corruption  at 99.9% when downloading with internet download manager.

Internet download manager, popularly known as IDM, is no doubt, one of the best downloaders in the market; it has really good support and very regular update, but the data corruption bug in Idm that affects one’s download at 99.9% is really painful. Before preparing this post, I tried solving this data corruption using some other methods, but they were a bit too complicated and were never a guarantee to stopping this problem on Idm for good. Imagine, downloading a file of over 1GB and just when you think you are finally through, guess what, Idm, tells you data corruption at the usual 99.9%. Frustrating hmm? But you know what, that is all in the past, because after going reading this tutorial, you’ll be able to download with Idm and not have data corruption; now how does that sound?

Idm speeds up your downloads by splitting up your files into smaller parts and then rejoining them after the download. While this is a good way to multiply download speeds, it is also the source of its data corruption and the crux of problem.

I have been using Idm for a while now. I have tried other well-known downloaders and found out they also have really annoying data corruption though not exactly the same with that of IDM, an example is Download Accelerator Plus a.k.a. DAP. From my trials with all the downloaders I’ve used, Idm remains the best and my favorite.
Here is a really simple tweak to solve the data corruption on idm.

First, open your Idm, then go to options, under options, just click the connection tab; change the default maximum connection to one (1), as , shown in my screenshot below, and then click ok to save your settings.

That’s it. This way Idm will no longer give data corruption error at 99.9%

How To Get Rid Of Trojanware That Turns Any Software To 824/825KB

I have searched through the internet, and I hardly found any tutorial on how to rid an infected computer or PC of this Trojan that turns any software to 824KB (825KB on disk);and so I decided to create a tutorial to take care of this
.
You see what this Trojan does is to create a fake copy of all programs on any folder it gets to in your system. This fake copy that this program creates just carries the image of your original program and replaces that original program in the folder. What you may not know, is that your program or software is still in that folder but it has been renamed and hidden (don’t bother trying to see hidden files in your folder options because that will not work here).

So, how do we get rid of this monster permanently? Firstly, you need to download a good program that can detect this Trojan and I recommend superantispyware. You need to download superantispyware on most preferably, an uninfected PC. After downloading SAS, install and do a thorough scan of your PC. Please re-download superantispyware latest version even if you had one before, be it an old or new version; this is important!

After thoroughly scanning your PC, SAS will weed this monster out and ask that you restart your computer. Please restart it. After doing this, the next thing is to unhide and rename your softwares that were hidden by the Trojan. To unhide them, you need to download a program called unhided.exe, just do a google search and you’ll find it.

Use unhided.exe, to unhide all your softwares and then you rename your files by removing the letter that the Trojan places at the beginning of every program it imitates, usually the letter V.

And that’s it.

Fake Investment Programs

If you have been on the internet for a while, you probably would have heard of HYIPS. They are scams, posing as investment firms just trying to relieve you of your hard earned cash. In this post, I'll be shedding more light on one that is still at large, This so-called investment company is called mcdave investment services limited (MIDSL) and their site's address is scam investment. They used a privacy service to hide their real location; what genuine investment firm does that?

This scam site claims to have agents in several parts of the world, including Nigeria. Mind you, these agents are not really agents, but their partners. They are all in on it. Please stay away from them! There are many of them still at large and I will be dropping reviews on them as time goes on.

Now, how do you identify a program as scam or not?

First, you must do a thorough google search on the company or program. When I say thorough, I mean you should use multiple keywords from the program's website and go beyond google's first and second page in your search results. If you find negative any  review, then stay away from that program.

If you find absolutely nothing on the said program, then please stay away from them as well: I mean if they were that good and have been online that long, how come no one knows about them. FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

Secondly, If a program sounds too good to be true, then that's just what it is.

Thirdly, never invest more than you can risk losing. Always invest only a small percentage of the money you have at hand. This is very important and can save you from a lot of trouble.

Lastly, how professional is their website looking. Those it show all that money that they claim to be making. Inspect their website very closely for cheap errors that professionals will never make. Also do a whois check on the website to know how long it has been online , when it will expire, the address of the admin and if it matches with the address and contact number on the website's contact page.

If you have any questions about any program or have any info on a scam program, please don't hesitate to drop me comment.
